Openings' artist residency, which happens once a year at the Paulist Fathers Summer House, St. Mary’s on the Lake, in Lake George New York, offers the possibility for you to take some time away from the city for rest, relaxation, conversation and creativity. Throughout the residency artists will have the opportunity to make art, listen to other artists, engage in dialogue and conversation - and to come to a deeper appreciation of the power of art to move us beyond ourselves.

This residency welcomes visual artists currently working in any medium.

St. Mary’s is located on 72 acres of lakefront property on beautiful Lake George in upstate New York, easily accessible by car/bus/train. There are opportunities for hiking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. There are various workspace areas available for creating art.
